There is an extension available in the chrome web store that lets you tweet directly from the address bar. Chromnitweet is pretty simple to use. First you need to download the extension from here;

To tweet simply click on the address bar, type "tw" (without quotes) and hit space. Now start tweeting and at the end hit enter to tweet. Thus it saves a lot of time. You don't have to worry about security because it doesn't read your info like password.
