Memory cards have changed the way we exchange our data be it music, images, videos or documents. A decade ago memory cards were huge in size and their capacity was very less. But now their size has reduced considerably and their storing capacity has increased drastically. Nowadays memory cards are available on various e-commerce sites at a very cheap prize. But remember some things before buying it and don't just buy it blindly just because the offer looks good. For example I bought a 16GB memory card from eBay at just Rs 200. When the memory card arrived, I realized the mistake I had made. The memory card was corrupt and I was feeling foolish for just blindly going for a fake deal. Thus whenever you buy a memory card keep these things in mind.
1. Always look for the rating of the product as well as the seller. Usually the low rated products are more likely to be defective. Always buy from trusted seller even if it costs you a little more.
2. Buy branded memory cards like Samsung, San Disk, Transcend, etc.
3. Also remember that the transfer speed is not the same on all the memory cards. There are different classes of the memory cards. For general usage and good transfer speed you can choose a class 10 SDHC memory card.
